Counting Head's

As the economy is on boom so are the IT companies on hiring spree to increase their head counts.......biggies like IBM are planning to double their strength in a year or so,TCS is in fact planning to recruit science graduates and to give them the required training to upgrade their skills............actually, it's all about the number game when it comes to impress the client to get a big project and numbers(of course)play a big role.....One of my friend was on the recruitment panel and after the day long exercise today,he selected a single candidate......he was telling situation is quite pathetic,people just want to get into big organizations anyhow.......some of the people who were interviewed were showing fake experience too......well this is not a big deal at all, I've seen guys in past who had manipulated the figures but the bottom line is that you have to have the skill's to prove yourself.......HR guys too don't bother about this at all as they are the one who will have to face the axe if numbers are not moving.............but aren't we compromising on quality for the sake of quantity.
